After many years photographing for foundations and schools across the country, as well as editorial work focusing on children, education and social issues, Susie is now documenting education in Seattle. She is working with Arts Corps (arts education), Denise Louie Education Center (preschool) the Seattle Public Schools (K-12), and various outdoor education programs. Doing so provides a rich library of current images which she licenses for editorial and educational uses.
Over the course of her career Susie’s work has been featured in LIFE magazine, People, the Washington Post Magazine and in many publications about education and health care. Her photographs illustrated Dooryard Garden (Four Winds Press) and Changes Everywhere (Audubon/Golden Books). Her work has also been included in the photographic books The Family of Children, Time-Life Books’ Photographing Children; Athletes;
The Dog – 100 Years; Game Face and others.
